Afterschool Program Coordinator/Assistant
Position: Afterschool Program Coordinator
Reports to: Program Director
Location: Cleveland, OH
Work Setting: In-Person, remote work with this position is not available
Hours: Part-Time, 12-16 hours per week; (approximately 2:00–5:30/6 p.m.); Days/times may vary but must be available to work Thursdays.
Pay rate: $20 per hour
About the Program Coordinator:
The Afterschool Program Coordinator is a part-time position that assists with program implementation. This supports programming across 15 sites and helps to ensure it is run effectively and a high-quality experience for our participants and families.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the following:
- Support program staff and coaches with all areas programming, including our soccer, health, poetry, and service-learning components
- Visit program sites to ensure high quality program delivery and implementation
- Assist staff in leading training for America SCORES Coaches
- Assist with the distribution and collection of program materials, supplies, uniforms, and communication.
- Assist with program evaluation, including running evaluations, collecting and tracking data
- Assist with data entry
- Assist with game day preparation and overseeing soccer game sites
- Assist with SCORES special events
- Assist the program team with administrative tasks in the office (data entry, scheduling, ordering, etc)
- Step-in as a coach (soccer or writing), as needed
- Actively participate in annual goal-setting, initiatives, and day-to-day functioning with a team-centered approach; be open to giving and receiving constructive feedback; be open to fulfilling necessary jobs or roles as needed
Requirements:
- 21+ years of age
- Available to work in-person, during the after school hours- approximately 2:00–6:00 p.m
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a car as program sites are located throughout the city.
- Someone who is a team player committed to the mission.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of tasks; a sense of humor; excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent organizational ability; and the ability to work under pressure.
- Has some experience working with youth or is an alumni of SCORES
Preferred:
- Has some background working with diverse populations
- Bi-lingual
- Has some knowledge of the sport of soccer (playing, coaching, or basic understanding of the sport)
